Swim BOP Short Course Champs 2019, 9^th to 11 August 2019

3 Mount Welly swimmers  Amos, Elijah & Caleb entered the 2019 Bay of Plenty SC championship on 9^th August weekend.

The pool was crowded with all Bay of Plenty regional swimmers and we met up with an ex- MWelly Paige Tevita-Williams.

It is good to compete with different swimmers from different regions to test their ability.

Amos achieved 2 good BPs in his 200free and 400free.

Elijah entered 4 events with 3 BPs but DQ on 200back.

Caleb medalled (10 and under) a gold on 50breast, 3 silver 200IM, 50fly, 100free, a bronze 200back; he also broke the 9 and under record for 50 breast and 50 fly. However, it will not be recorded as he is not registered in BOP. (maybe we should move to Tauranga).

Total of 1 Gold, 3 Silver, 1 Bronze and 10 BPs.
